System Analysis for Diagnostic Radiology

Abstract
A great advance in computer science during the recent 10 years is changing our concept on computers
to an intimate companion on table-top, instead of an abstruse big-blue. As a consequence, the trend of total configuration of computer system veers to a more elastic, dispersed or composite system from a rigid, centralized system. In recent years, an adoption of a personal computer as a node system and an attempts to communicate with a host system have been made with insufficient outcome.
Proposed in this article is a system analysis for diagnostic radiology department, using an IBM-AT compatible 16-bit personal computer and dBASE III as a preliminary work for a future diagnostic radiology department information system. This system will be sufficiently large enough to handle a number of Jatient records. Efficient retrieval of information for both official and academic interests is also possible,
employing this system.
